National Shooting Sports Month® is all about spending more time at the range, sharpening your skills and celebrating the shooting sports. One of the easiest — and most fun — ways to join the celebration this August is by taking the #RangeChallenge.
As America celebrates its 250th anniversary and National Shooting Sports Month marks its 10th year, there’s never been a better time to spend a day at the range. Whether you’re a first-time target shooter or a seasoned marksman, the #RangeChallenge gives you a new target to try while giving you the chance to win weekly prizes throughout August.
How to Participate
1. Download and Print the Target
Download this year’s official #RangeChallenge target or pick one up at a participating National Shooting Sports Month host range. Then bring it along on your next trip to the range.
2. Find a Range
Visit a participating National Shooting Sports Month host range or head to your favorite local range to complete the challenge. Use the National Shooting Sports Month Host Map to discover ranges and events happening near you.
3. Take the Challenge
Review the instructions printed on the target, set it up and put your marksmanship to the test. Whether you’re refining your fundamentals or simply enjoying a day of recreational shooting, the #RangeChallenge is a fun way to add a little friendly competition to your range session.
4. Enter to Win Weekly Prizes
Once you’ve completed the challenge, upload a photo of yourself and/or your target through the #RangeChallenge page or share a photo or video on Instagram using #RangeChallenge.
Throughout August, eight $500 gift cards will be awarded as weekly prizes, giving participants multiple opportunities to win simply by getting out to the range and joining the fun.

The best range days are meant to be shared. After completing the challenge, post your photos and videos using #RangeChallenge, #LetsGoShooting and to celebrate National Shooting Sports Month and show others how you’re participating.

Ranges, clubs, retailers and organizations are encouraged to make the #RangeChallenge part of their National Shooting Sports Month activities.
