As part of National Safety Month, NSSF is hosting Gun Storage Check Week® from June 1–7, 2025, encouraging all gun owners to review and, if necessary, improve their firearm storage practices to prevent accidents, suicides and thefts.
Why Secure Storage Matters
“No one wants their gun in the hands of an unsupervised child, a person in crisis, an individual who lacks knowledge of firearms or a thief.” NSSF President and CEO Joe Bartozzi emphasizes, “If something bad happens because your gun isn’t stored securely, you’ll regret it, probably forever.”
Enter to Win Weekly Prizes
Throughout June, gun owners can participate in the Gun Storage Check Week Sweepstakes for a chance to win firearm storage units and safety equipment, with some prizes valued up to $499.
Sponsors include Regal Products, Vault Pro and ShotLock. Each week offers a new opportunity to win and participants can earn five extra entries by watching firearm safety or suicide prevention videos after completing the entry form.
